An uninteresting movie recast in a predictable genre. Do two negatives make a positive?

Last night, I went out for dinner with my good friend from university, Milesa. It was quite the occasion to see her as she’s going to be gone to all sorts of exotic locales soon (France and Australia) and because I hadn’t seen her since we graduated. We went out to reasonably fancy restaurant and then went to Starbucks (she cant miss her double espresso) and, all in all, it was quite a good night.
More importantly, however, the night gave me some perspective on how fast „real life“ and „growing up“ happen after university. Just talking about how are lives are going and what our plans were (at least for the moment) made me feel old. I don’t know if I want to have all these responsibilities. I don’t really miss university, I do miss the freedom to do unplanned things. In any case, it surprises you how fast change is sometimes.

It is coming to that point in the year that I dread each year, namely December. Both my parents’ birthdays and Christmas are in December. It’s not that I am cheap or don’t like celebrating these events, it’s more that I don’t like the hassle of shopping for all of the gifts. The Christmas season is definitely the worst time to shop. Not only are most shopping outlets busy, but also the service is generally poorer. In any case, it’s generally a thoroughly unsatisfying experience.
In any case, I should leave this short as I am going shopping this afternoon. Wish me luck!
